About the Hop House Lodge
Our name, Hop House Lodge, is derived from the influence of the hop growing industry that once thrived in Otsego County in the eighteen and nineteen hundreds. Located on U.S. Highway 20, the lodge is just a scenic 10 miles from Cooperstown, home of the National Baseball Hall of Fame, one of America's most sought-after attractions.
Built in 2005, the lodge offers two completely furnished duplex-style apartments, providing comfort and simple elegance at every turn. Downstairs, heated tile floors and a large living room / dinette area await. The upstairs includes two bedrooms, with the master bedroom opening up onto a covered balcony. Each bedroom is outfitted with a full-size bed and two "his and hers" closets. There is a full bathroom upstairs and a half bath on the first floor. Additionally, each pet-free and smoke-free apartment offers a full kitchen with all the amenities, ample closet space throughout, front & back covered porches, and attached laundry for your convenience. To top it all off, our rooms are accented in a handmade, rich Butternut wood trim.
Whether you're staying for just a weekend*, a week, or a year, the Hop House Lodge offers comfortable accommodations with real character. Our quiet back porches are perfect for unwinding after a day of exploring all that the surrounding Cooperstown area has to offer. Once you experience the Hop House Lodge for yourself, we're certain you'll find it a great place to stay. Get away with bringing just your personal effects, we'll supply the rest. Consider us your home away from home.
